The humour was over-the-top in some places for my taste, but overall the story was still very funny. Marc Staal comes out to his family. His brothers are supportive–maybe a little too supportive.

Settling in, post-Corambis.
Not a lot of plot, but nice atmosphere, and good character voices.

Really funny look at Arthur and Merlin’s (platonic) relationship through the eyes of one of Camelot’s more hapless knights. Vague slash undertones.

This is the story of what might have happened if a babysitter with a conscience had ever looked after Harry.
Harry sighed happily. “Uncle Vernon locked me in the cupboard all weekend for that,” he murmured sleepily. “I’m glad you’re not mad.” And he dropped innocently off into sleep, unaware of the bombshell he had just thrown at her.
Locked In The Cupboard. Locked In. Locked.
Nell wanted to cry.
A little too cute for my taste, as so much kidfic is, but still pretty good.
The crew of Firefly meets the crew of the Enterprise.
Captain’s personal log, supplemental to official entry regarding transdimensional phenomena around the Coronas Wormhole Field:
Note to self, stop picking up ships that come out of wormholes. It always ends in tears.

Jayne goes home, and when he doesn’t come back, the rest of the crew go looking for him.
This is a very well-written ensemble fic, funny and touching and with everyone in character.

I really wasn’t expecting this story to be as funny as it is, but some of the lines are priceless.

A little post-Serenity wish fulfillment.
This story is actually a crossover between Firefly and another universe, but I’m not going to say which one–it’s more fun to realize it for yourself.
Serenity carries a group of settlers to their new home.
Three conversations Ellie had with Bryce Larkin. I love the first one the best, for its boundless optimism, but they’re all wonderful. I love Ellie so much.
Chuck is my new favourite TV show, and this story exemplifies many of the things I love about it. Specifically, it’s about the relationship between Chuck and Awesome. Devon is such a surprisingly nice guy, and the show makes it clear that he genuinely likes Chuck for his sake, and not just because he’s Ellie’s brother.
I’ve been looking for Chuck/Bryce fanfic, but I wasn’t disappointed when I found this gen story. One of the thing I like best about Chuck is how much the characters seem to care about each other. (Has there ever been a better brother-sister relationship than Chuck and Ellie’s?)
Also, awesome title.
When he hears that Spike is still alive, Xander comes back from Africa to see him. The fact that they have their reunion in Angel’s office is what really makes this story.

I think my favourite thing about his is John’s thoughts about Carter.
Or maybe about Mitchell’s hair.
Something else I like about SG-1 is the relationship between Vala and Teal’c. They have good chemistry.
“I see why you like this one so much,” Vala says as Teal’c removes the DVD from the player and inserts “Empire.” “A band of rebels against the evil overlords, a man joining forces with unlikely allies to overcome great odds…”
Teal’c knows her childish antics hide a calculating mind, but he still does not expect her to see through him quite so easily. “I enjoy the space battles.”

Daniel and his wife visit Atlantis. Is the Pegasus galaxy ready for Vala? Not hardly.
“I don’t know if I envy Jackson or feel sorry for him,” Baker said.
“She’s a heck of a woman, but a little too high maintenance for my tastes,” Lorne said.
Teyla paused. “Has Doctor Jackson arrived?”
“Jackson, Vala, and Imelda Marcos’ shoe collection.”
“Imelda Marcos had a lot of shoes,” Lorne explained, just in case Teyla had forgotten her ability to infer.
I really, really like stories from Teyla’s point of view, so of course I would like one the that shows her take on my favourite SG-1 character.
One possible explanation for why Daniel (thank goodness) finally digs out that razor.

Departs from canon before The Shroud, based on a spoiler of that episode with the line about Daniel being a “soft-sell” prior. As she’s dying, Prior-Daniel tries to sell Origin to Vala, but she’s not buying.

Short and sweet and makes me love Vala even more than I already do. Vala throws herself a birthday party.
