Tit for Tat (The Family Feud Remix)
May 30, 2008
Beginning immediately after John, Aeryn, D’Argo, and Rygel return to Moya after A Human Reaction, Chiana has some difficulty adjusting to being part of the crew—or even deciding if she wants to stay at all.
I have to say, it’s Chiana’s interactions with everyone on the ship, particularly Aeryn, that make this story so good.
Reunion
May 29, 2008
When he hears that Spike is still alive, Xander comes back from Africa to see him. The fact that they have their reunion in Angel’s office is what really makes this story.
A Distorted Genius

A crossover of Nero Wolfe and House may sound strange at first, but it works amazingly well, as this story proves.
Wilson is accused of murder, and House hires New York’s best private detective to find the truth. Hwshipper does a good job of bringing Wolfe and Archie into the 21st century while keeping the fundamentals intact.
“I’ll google Dr. House, shall I?” I asked innocently.
Wolfe glared at me. “Don’t goad me, Archie. You know perfectly well that word is not a verb in this house.”
Deliverance

Excellent and creepy story about Wesley and Connor. Departs from canon after Tomorrow.
Connor wandered over to the table, curiously sniffed the glass, then raised it to his lips.
“Don’t drink that.”
“Why?”
“It’s bad for you. Like poison.”
Connor gave him a long, slow look. “You drink it. You’re not dead.”
“It takes time.”
Silence for a while, then, “There are faster ways to die.”
Wesley shrugged. “It’s the journey that matters.”
Ask Me How

If you’ve never seen Dexter, this story won’t make any sense. If you have, you’ll recognize that Fahye has Dexter’s voice down cold, and that’s what makes this story so good.
And it’s a gift from my foster father, just like everything else that comprises the person that the world knows as Dexter Morgan; all those bits and pieces of Harry, wedged between the fragments that were once a terrified child, somehow making up an entire human being. Of sorts.
“– to dispose of the body. Creepy motherfucker. He doesn’t deserve a taxpayer-funded cremation if you ask me, Dex.”
Dangerously distracted Dexter.I blink my way back towards the light, the telephones hammering away at my sleep-deprived senses, and Angel Batista’s disgusted indignation.
“Sorry, I was spacing out there.”
Spoilers for the entire first season of Dexter. I’m serious—if you’ve never watched the show (or at least read the books), don’t read this. It will spoil one of the best shows on TV. This may well be the only television show about which I ever say this: it’s better than the books. The cast is perfect, the acting is brilliant, and the writing is sharp and funny and absolutely right. Go watch Dexter—or at least pick up a copy of Darkly Dreaming Dexter.

Silly, but hilarious. An(other) enemy of Mal’s comes up with a scheme to embarrass him and his crew.

Unrealized Peacekeeper
Apr 11, 2008
This is a multi-part, in-progress AU spinoff from Unrealized Realities, exploring how John Crichton might have come to be a Peacekeeper Captain. Although it’s unfortunately not finished yet, the first two seasons (up until When the Chips are Down) are complete, and the latest update (The Devil You Know) was posted March 22, 2008, so it’s still being updated!
In Unrealized Peacekeeper, Tauvo Crais manages to avoid a collison with John’s module, so the escaping prisoners on Moya don’t bother to recapture John and Aeryn. Instead, John is put to work on wormhole tech by Captain Crais.
I love this story so much. The characterizations are wonderful, and so is the plot. It manages to be faithful to the big events of Farscape canon, while still telling its own story. If it’s ever complete, it may rival In the Company of Ghosts as my favourite Farscape story.
Five things John Sheppard envied Cam Mitchell
Apr 4, 2008
I think my favourite thing about his is John’s thoughts about Carter.
Or maybe about Mitchell’s hair.

Something else I like about SG-1 is the relationship between Vala and Teal’c. They have good chemistry.
“I see why you like this one so much,” Vala says as Teal’c removes the DVD from the player and inserts “Empire.” “A band of rebels against the evil overlords, a man joining forces with unlikely allies to overcome great odds…”
Teal’c knows her childish antics hide a calculating mind, but he still does not expect her to see through him quite so easily. “I enjoy the space battles.”

Behind That Smile
Feb 21, 2008
Vala meets Jack while she’s in Washington.
When his admin walked in with a pinched, struggling-against-horny look on his face, Jack didn’t need the man to say anything.
“Send her in,” he said. “And then go call your wife.”

Firefly fandom comes up with some of the scariest stories I’ve ever read.
Where I End and You Begin
Feb 14, 2008
Departs from canon before The Shroud, based on a spoiler of that episode with the line about Daniel being a “soft-sell” prior. As she’s dying, Prior-Daniel tries to sell Origin to Vala, but she’s not buying.
Fiction in the Space Between
Feb 9, 2008
A straightforward summary won’t do this story justice, but it’s all I have to offer. John and Aeryn are captured and forced to work in a mine. While Aeryn takes care of them both, John has an identity crisis.
I was a little frustrated with the writing style as first, but by the end I knew it was the right way to tell this story.
Five ways Aeryn Sun kicked Cameron Mitchell’s ass
Jan 31, 2008
It’s actually surprising I haven’t found more Farscape/SG-1 crossovers, especially since it seems I’m not the only one who got into SG-1 only because Ben Browder and Claudia Black joined the cast. (Or in my case, just Claudia Black, because I don’t think I’ve ever loved a fictional character the way I love Aeryn Sun.)
If you scroll down a bit, you’ll also find the awesome, and sad, Five times John wasn’t saved from Scorpius.
Peace, Through Superior Firepower

I’m not insulting this story at all when I say that the best thing about it is the summary:
Moya itches; Pilot bitches; Zhaan discovers herbal riches; John and Aeryn fall in ditches.
King Me

John teaches Aeryn to play checkers.
“It’s a game,” he said, watching her from the corner of his eye. “It teaches strategy. You’d like it, it’s like a battlefield without all the blood.”
Aeryn gave him a look that she hoped clearly expressed that a battlefield without blood was pretty frelling pathetic.
A Toe in the Water

Okay, I am not by any means a Noranti fan, but I really like this little story. The Moyans go swimming sometime after Bad Timing.
“Noranti,” called D’Argo, “are you going to stand there all day?”
“Yeah,” said Chiana, “the water is great. Aren’t you hot under all those things you’re wearing?”
“Oh, no, no, no,” said Noranti, “I’m not coming in. It’ll wash off all the juices. Wash them off. I can’t have that, can I?”
“Well maybe you should wash them off,” said Chiana. “Then you can start fresh with new juice.”
“Ugh,” said D’Argo.
“What? That’s how she talks.”

An isolationist species finds itself in possession of a certain notorious fugitive, and they’re not quite sure what to do with him. Followed by a sequel, Null and Void. A long, plotty adventure, with some post-Fractures J/A angst.
