Post-Widening Gyre. Harper and Tyr compare scars.
“Rommie, I think you’re right.”
“Of course I’m right.” the ceiling said.
“I’m drunk.” Couldn’t feel his feet either. Or his tongue.
“I told you so.”
“Nobody likes a snotty starship!” Harper yelled at the ceiling.

Long, Tyr POV. Great extrapolation of Nietzschean culture and philosophy based on what’s been revealed on the show, and really makes you feel the connection between Tyr and Harper–and some of the reasons behind it.
Update: Fixed the broken link, hopefully for the last time. I’ve never had so much trouble linking a story before - every time I find a good copy of the story somewhere, it disappears. If anyone has a (working) link to a another copy of this story, I’d love to get it. This site works fine, but the colours make my eyes very unhappy.

Your New Harper: A First-Time Owner’s Guide

This series provides a speculative back-story for a couple of characters (especially Harper, but Beka as well) from a show I’ve never seen and I still enjoyed it more than most fanfic I’ve ever read. That’s how good it is. There are several shorter stories that follow this one on Viridian5’s Andromeda gen page.

And its sequels, Transitional and Raveling
Picks up after the events of Pitiless as the Sun right up through Dance of the Mayflies and follows major canon events. If you’ve never seen the show (like me) Viridian5 has kindly provided a wealth of Andromeda summaries. Go, read about the show, then read the stories. If you’re anything like me, you’ll be dying to see the show–or at least the first two seasons.
