Chivalry
Apr 28, 2006
Victor Krum asks Professor McGonagall for permission to take Hermione to the Yule Ball. After reading this, my love for Krum knows no bounds.
There are several stories in the same universe:
- Sneaky: Victor asks Hermione to the Ball.
- Eloquent: Victor follows Hermione after her fight with Ron.
- Winterwhere: A winter picnic.
- Lucky Crookshanks: A lesson in lack of subtlety.
- When Bulgarian Eyes Are Smiling: His eyes are doing it again.
- Practical Magic: Hermione is in dire need of some practical guidance, but Victor doesn’t want to be a bandit.
Chivalry, Eloquent and Practical Magic are my favourites, but they’re all really good.

Voyager.
Set before, during and after The Killing Game. Bobby and Brigitte’s story. Hasn’t been updated in some time, but what’s there is still worth reading.

The Charioteer
A truly wonderful piece of writing. Watch One Hour With Me fills in the blanks of what happened between Ralph and Laurie the night after the wedding, and it’s written very much in Renault’s style. I can easily believe it as a missing scene from the book.

The Iliad
Achilles can almost imagine they’re home. “I miss Phthia,” he says softly, pressing his lips to Patroclus’ neck. “The green fields, the fine women–”
“You were the finest woman Phthia ever produced,” Patroclus answers, and Achilles shoves him down into the sand, laughing.
Short and sweet.

The Iliad/Greek myth
My favourite Iliad story. Gloria Mundi writes with such an amazing and unique voice, perfect for the tone of the Iliad:
Neither of them will ever surrender to anyone else. Once Patroclus — in Achilles’ armour, a perfect fit at last — has fallen to Hector’s hand, Achilles will have to find other ways to love.
