Rattlesnakes
Feb 7, 2007
Ten years after Endless Waltz, Duo and Trowa are forced into therapy together. A large part of this story’s awesomeness comes from Trowa’s internal voice, which is perfect and funny. I have a weakness for mental illness fics, and the GW universe has some of the best justifications for that kind of story.
Fast Falls the Eventide

Finding this story might be a bit confusing for some readers, since the only place that it’s posted is a friends-locked livejournal. Trust me, the story is worth it.
If you don’t have a livejournal, go get one. Log into your livejournal account. Go to Kouri and Karasu’s Ficlog. Post a comment on a recent entry asking to be friended. Within a day or two, they’ll add you to their list of friends and you’ll be able to read friends-locked posts. Then, just click on the link above!
For a few months, Fast Falls the Eventide was gone from the internet. Because of plagiarism, Kouri and Karasu took down all the original fiction from their website and weren’t sure they would ever post original fiction again. Luckily, they decided to post their original fic (minus the novels they’re submitting for publishing) on their friends-locked livejournal.
I’m grateful that Fast Falls the Eventide is finally back up, because it’s one of my favourite original fics on the net. It’s a slash romance, but it’s also an effectively creepy ghost story. Also, one of the main characters is a realistically mentally ill teenager, and I’m such a sucker for that.
The writing is emjoyable, the plot skillfully handled, and the story is intriguing. Oh, and Neil and Rowan are awfully cute together. What more can you ask for?
Borderlines

Also Casey/m.
I almost never recommend works in progress but this would be worth reading even if it was never finished. Casey and Zeke are great characters (in the story—once again, I’m recommending fanfic based on a movie I’ve never seen or even heard of.) I don’t know when this story will ever be finished but it’s updated pretty regularly, I believe about once a month. The chapters are quite long.
Borderlines also has one of the best original characters I’ve ever read. Sasha is funny and sweet and real in a way that most author can’t manage even with canon characters. It’s odd that this is one of two excellent Faculty fics I’ve read–like the other, it is long and features a Casey struggling with mental illness.
28 Aug 2007: Episode 28 is up, and the story is now complete!
