Angel thinks it’s night, though he’s long ago lost track. No way to mark time here, beyond the pull of tide, where even the moon is just another dead thing he can’t touch. There are tiny holes in Angel’s tongue, small sets of two by two by two. Then the blood ran dry.

My favourite Angel/Connor fic, and wow, it didn’t take very long for this pairing to suck me in, did it? After Angel kicks Connor out of the hotel, of course he still visits him.

Steven’s skin is pale and clammy no matter how many classes he skips to hit the beach. His hands are still too big for his wrists. His fingers scrabble for purchase on Angel’s smooth broad chest and, as always, don’t find it. He grabs Angel’s upper arms instead—Angel knows he likes to feel the muscles move. Angel wonders if Steven would like it if he got another tattoo there, a band of something intricate and shifting in the light. The boy would like holding his hand, being the one to comfort him for once. But all Angel can think to put there is “Connor”, and Steven wouldn’t recognize the name.

AU. Angel takes care of Connor after Home.

Connor hasn’t said a word since Angel bundled him up and brought him back to the hotel. There isn’t much to say, he supposes. Snip, snip. Not after Connor tried to blow up a store full of people along with himself and Cordelia. It’s almost as though the boy’s got a bit of Angelus in him, willing to hurt those closest to him as a means to an end. Angel’s a little disturbed when he realizes that he finds that thought somewhat comforting. At least he’ll better know what to say.

It’s fic like this that’s helped to reconcile me to the wrongness that is Angel/Connor. The rape and torture doesn’t happen to Connor, but that doesn’t make this story any less wrong.

I’m not exactly the biggest fan of incest, especially father/son incest, but a lot of the good Connor fics online seem to be Angel/Connor, and this is one of them.

After NFA, Angel gets depressed and Connor gets enraged. And Illyria is perfectly in character, except that her random monologues are actually interesting and relevant. I like her so much better in fanfic.
