In late Season 3, sometime after Fractures, an old acquaintance of Crichton’s meets up with the crew of Moya and tries to pursue her own agenda. Despite her Disruptor training, Jenavian Chatto is not as successful as she anticipates.

Aeryn Sun – now she was subtle. An outsider would be hard-pressed to tell whether she was even aware that Crichton was on the same transport. But I remembered her protectiveness of him on the Royal Planet. Then, she’d cared enough about him to openly assault two members of the ruling family. Now, she hardly spoke to him, barely looked at him, mostly kept her back to him, but her movements were an eerie parallel to his, moving away as he moved closer, always keeping the same distance between them. To mirror your target that perfectly, I knew from experience, you have to know where it is at all times.

When the IOA decides they don’t want an American in charge of Atlantis’s military, John needs a way to change nationalities. Luckily, Canada recognizes gay marriages.

After Serenity (the movie), Simon and Jayne begin to work together, and find that they compliment each other unexpectedly well.

Eventually, Jayne folds up his letter, sliding it carefully into a cheap envelope. “You ain’t half-bad when you ain’t talkin’,” he says, as he stands.

“The feeling’s mutual,” Simon replies, half-smiling.

Okay, so I lied. I am obsessed with Farscape, and the fandom has a lot of really good fanfic. As I’m sure will soon become apparent, I am a John/Aeryn ’shipper, which is so weird for me—when’s the last time my OTP was a het pairing? But then again, when’s the last time I actually loved a female character on TV? A female character who had a lead role? (Answer: never.)

I like this story for the mood it creates. John and Aeryn get the rare chance to relax on a commerce planet.

Het // NC-17 // Romance

Simon and River, but no CSI.

“There are so many sheep,” River adds, like an afterthought. “Nations of them. They stare at the sky, planning their revenge and the mathematics of the stars.”

Most of the time Simon really does believe that River makes sense on some level, and that it’s maybe just a different one, one he can’t — none of the rest of them can — reach.

Sometimes he doesn’t.
