When Elizabeth is injured, Rodney is left in charge. I honestly don’t know what else to say about this story, except that it’s long and good and everyone should read it.

House/Wilson implied; more like pre-slash than anything. Or…post-slash, I guess.
Okay, I wanted to be all “I need another fandom like I need a hole in my head,” because it’s true, but then I read this fic, and why haven’t I been reading SGA fic all along?
Mpreg without the mpreg: my favourite kind.
“Do you know, that was almost my longest relationship ever?”
“What, four months?” Rodney said. “I managed six once.”
“I’ve made it to seven,” John said. “But that’s because I got sent to Iraq for a tour of duty for six months in the middle.”
“Well, my six months were with a KGB agent who was under orders to seduce advanced alien technology out of me,” Rodney admitted.
John eyed him. “I’m not sure I want to know the answer to this question, but did it work?”
“Of course not, am I stupid?” Rodney said. “As soon as I’d given her what she wanted, she would’ve dumped me, and she was the only thing keeping me from freezing to death. The heat in my room didn’t work.”
John raised an eyebrow and waited.
“Okay, yes, I could’ve fixed the heat. But come on! She was a KGB agent!” Rodney said defensively. “You wouldn’t believe the things she could do with her tongue.”

I was on Corinna’s site, reading her great Smallville and Angel fanfic, and somehow ended up wandering into the SGA section. Now that so many of my favourite authors have started writing SGA fic, I guess it was only a matter of time before I started reading it.
I still don’t know much about the fandom or the characters, but I really liked the idea of Atlantis communicating with Sheppard. And, uh, manipulating his life.
Oh my God, this is so good. Wesley arrives in a small town in winter, sick and destitute, and finds some unexpected help. The exchanges between Connor and Angel are absolutely priceless.
“No college cares about what I did when I was thirteen,” Connor told him. “Nobody does. Not even Wes.”
“Well, I, er – ” Wesley faltered, wondering what he was supposed to say.
“I care,” Angel replied, saving Wesley the trouble. “And I guess if I’m not allowed to be proud of what you do then I can’t tell Wes you made MVP two years running?”
“No, you can tell him that,” Connor said. He wiped Alissa’s chin as she finished with her drink, then amused her by dangling a stuffed toy in front of her. Alissa gurgled happily, trying to reach up for it.
“Connor made MVP two years running,” Angel said, slowing the truck down so a deer could pass by.
“So I’ve heard,” Wesley said, grinning. “You must be very proud.”
“I am during those pre-approved times when my son allows me to be,” Angel replied.
Can you tell I don’t really love this for the Angel/Wes? Although those parts are good, too.
Five things fic will never get old.
Angel has some very disturbing hallucinations while he’s at the bottom of the ocean.
Angel thinks it’s night, though he’s long ago lost track. No way to mark time here, beyond the pull of tide, where even the moon is just another dead thing he can’t touch. There are tiny holes in Angel’s tongue, small sets of two by two by two. Then the blood ran dry.
Containing an assessment of the intellectual and moral advancement of Master Connor Angel, late of Quartoth, in various subjects appropriate for the refinement of a gentleman; in seven parts
Best Connor fic ever. I mean that.
“This is so goddamn boring,” Justine says.
Connor doesn’t agree. Hunting is the principal pleasure in life, at least so far as he has yet discovered, and waiting is an inseparable part of hunting. However, arguing with Justine is as useless as discussing history with her. “You don’t have to wait, if you don’t want to. I can take care of it.”
Justine looks over at him, and he can see the battle very plainly in her eyes. She wants to leave, to go do something else — most likely, hunt something else, something that will be quicker and easier to kill, put up more of a fight. So far as that goes, Connor can sympathize.
On the other hand, Justine feels that she should stay with him. For whatever unfathomable reason — Connor knows it has to do with Holtz, but still hasn’t tied together the connection — Justine seems to think it’s her job to take care of him.
Connor doesn’t think he needs much taking care of.
You know, I so rarely have this kind of love for a character, in any fandom. I don’t know that I’ve ever actually wanted to read genfic before. I mean, I read it when I find it, and sometimes it’s amazing, but I don’t think I’ve ever gone looking for it before now. Even among my Top Ten favourite fics (of which there are eight, at the moment), there’s only one genfic, and only two other stories that would be just as good if they were gen (Freeport and Talking Stick/Circle, if you’re curious.) Love, love, love Connor. Why don’t more authors write him?
Wesley and Connor go to see Spike in Sunnydale. Set just before Angel S4.
Fred: He’ll try to get away with eating nothing but meat. I don’t think they had vegetables or fruit on Qor’toth. I don’t know why he didn’t die of scurvy. Maybe he ate grass. Or maybe his vitamin needs are different. Huh, that’s a thought. I could test…
Wes: Fred.
Fred: Right. Sorry. Anyway, sometimes you can get him to eat salsa. And that’s at least good for his prostate, right? All that lycopene.
Wes: Fred.
Fred: Yeah, I don’t like to think about him having a prostate either.
******************************
Gunn: Seriously. Do not let him drive.
******************************
Fred: And you have to remind him to change his clothes once in a while. He’s getting…less feral, though!
I feel obliged to rec this, not just because it’s good (which it is), but because I so rarely recommend femmeslash; k is an author who can make the unlikeliest pairings work.
Femmeslash // NC-17 // Romance
Okay, Annakovsky is totally doing what I thought couldn’t be done, and making me really like Dawn.
There had been a Scooby meeting, sans Willow, after the whole Willow-going-evil-and-trying-to-destroy-the-world-and-kill-all-of-them thing. Not that Dawn was bitter about that. No, Willow threatening to revert her to green energy had rolled right off her back.
Everyone else had made all the decisions already, of course. Giles was taking Willow back to England with him, so she could get help or whatever.
“So she tries to kill us and she gets a free trip to England?” Dawn had said dryly. “I shoplifted, does that mean I get a weekend in LA?”
“Dawn,” Buffy had said warningly, and she shut up while the rest of them talked details. She was sick of never having a say in things, of having everyone concerned about taking care of her. It was stupid and boring and she felt useless. Besides, if this was them taking care of her, they did a sucky job. It was time she took care of herself.

Set in an AU where Angel’s memory spell puts Connor into a different family: the Summers family. After all, they already got one fake kid, didn’t they? This is set in the second universe from Annakovsky’s Five Families Connor Was Not Magically Squeezed Into After His Real Vampire Dad Slit His Throat. You don’t really need to read that one first, although you should because it’s good.
I love this story so incredibly much, even though I’ve never cared for hetfic or Dawn overly much. I want sequels to this so bad. I want a series. But if this is all I can get, well, at least it’s really amazing.
There’s a Scooby meeting in Giles’s room that they’re required to attend, but Connor mostly just doodles and ignores them. He’s working on a comic idea, a superhero, maybe. But for some reason his hero keeps turning out to be evil after all, like Connor can’t stop it happening. It’s very perturbing. He’s so engrossed in this problem of his hero constantly turning out to be a werewolf or a vampire or a corporate executive that he doesn’t notice Dawn’s amusing herself by painting his toenails purple until she’s already done his whole left foot.
“Hey!” he says, kicking at her, and it must be louder than he means it to be ’cause it actually stops Buffy’s monologue.
“I’m sorry, is the official business interrupting you two?”
Buffy really does have an excellent glare. Sometimes Connor wonders if she practices it in the mirror.
“Yeah, a little,” Dawn says, and gets them both kicked out. Connor thinks he sees Xander and Willow suppressing smiles, but he’s not quite sure.
