(If you’re unfamiliar with the Raffles novels, they were written by Conan Doyle’s brother-in-law and they’re pretty much what the Sherlock Holmes stories would have been if Holmes was an amateur thief rather than an amateur detective, with a stronger streak of British-public-school homoeroticism.)

Oh man. I’ve only ever seen one Bond film, and as all I can remember about it is that Pierce Brosnan was 007 and there was an oil pipeline that had to be blown up, or saved from being blown up, or something, you can probably guess that I’m not much of a fan.

I am a fan of Judi Dench, though. So go read this.

The Pretender

I’d forgotten how much I loved this show. Too much happens for me to give any kind of summary, but the stories are a lot like the show itself, with more focus on the relationship between Jarod and Miss Parker. The series is a WIP, but each of the stories is self-contained.
