I already put a link to this on the links page, but if you’re anything like me, you almost never check other people’s link pages unless you’re totally desperate. And this site deserves to be seen.

Basically, it’s a series of posts made on FairestCat’s livejournal; each post is a list of Hornblower fanfic recs with a theme: a particular pairing, stories set during a particular episode, that kind of thing. I’ve already read quite a few of the stories that she’s recommended, but I won’t be rec’ing all of them myself, so you might want to hop on over and take a look.

The stories feature a number of different pairings and ratings, so there should be something there for everyone.

For a man who appears very little in either the books or the movies, and never even gets a first name, Major Lord Edrington makes quite a few crossover appearances. This time he and Richard Sharpe end up cut off from their retreating army and have to rely on each other to survive. I especially enjoyed Sharpe’s first impression of Edrington – he certainly seems to rub people the wrong way.

Quite a good story, well-written and well-researched.

Full Fathom Five by AnaisIt’s canon that Horatio arrived on Justinian and met Archie before Simpson returned. I’m not sure if Archie’s background here contradicts canon or just fanon, but I’m not sure that I care, either.
