The Ways have no way of knowing what they were getting into when they find an alien on the side of the road and take it home with them. The little extra-terrestrial inserts itself into their family under the human name of Gerard and becomes a member of their family. But more than that, the bond Mikey forms with Gerard shapes their whole lives in ways no one on Earth or beyond could’ve seen coming.

Although there are several pairings, this is really more of a gen fic, with the focus more on Mikey’s life as a whole rather than on any particular romantic relationship. There is, however, a lot of sex.

Be warned if you start reading this before the third story is posted that there is no resolution of any kind at the end of the second story.
